Safeguarding Policy:

At Tycoons Allstars, the safety and well-being of our athletes is our top priority. We are committed to creating a safe and secure environment where all individuals can participate in cheerleading and dance activities with confidence. Our safeguarding policy outlines our commitment to protecting children, young people, and vulnerable adults from harm, abuse, or any form of exploitation.

  1. Staff Training and Recruitment:

    • All our staff members, including coaches and volunteers, undergo thorough background checks and reference verifications before joining our team.

    • We provide comprehensive safeguarding training to our staff members, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to recognize signs of abuse or neglect.

    • Our coaches receive regular updates and training on best practices for safeguarding, as well as specific guidance related to working with children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

  2. Code of Conduct:

    • We have a clear code of conduct in place that outlines appropriate and professional behavior for all staff, athletes, parents, and spectators.

    • We promote a respectful and inclusive environment, where any form of bullying, harassment, or discrimination is strictly prohibited.

    • Our staff members are trained to provide positive role models for our athletes and to maintain appropriate boundaries.

  3. Reporting and Responding:

    • We have established clear reporting procedures for any concerns or suspicions of abuse or safeguarding issues. All reports will be taken seriously and handled promptly and confidentially.

    • We encourage open communication and provide channels for athletes, parents, and staff members to report any concerns they may have.

    • Our designated safeguarding officer is responsible for overseeing safeguarding practices, responding to reports, and liaising with relevant authorities when necessary.

  4. Risk Assessment and Safety Measures:

    • We conduct regular risk assessments of our facilities and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards.

    • We maintain appropriate coach-to-athlete ratios during training sessions and events to ensure adequate supervision and individual attention.

    • We have established emergency procedures and protocols in place, including first aid training for staff members.

  5. Partnership and Communication:

    • We work closely with parents, guardians, and external organizations to ensure a collaborative approach to safeguarding.

    • We communicate our safeguarding policy and procedures to all relevant stakeholders, including athletes, parents, staff members, and volunteers.

This safeguarding policy is reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in legislation and best practices. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and vigilance within our organization, and we are committed to taking all necessary steps to protect the well-being and happiness of our athletes.
